Frequently asked questions
Do I need to come to the office?
No. Most of our clients work with us remotely: documents are sent digitally and we talk by email or Telegram. If you prefer, we can also meet you at one of our three offices, in Lisbon, Seixal or São João da Talha.
How much does the monthly retainer cost?
It depends on the type of entity, the number of employees and the volume of invoices and expenses. Request a free quote and we will send a proposal with the monthly fee and what is included.
Can I switch accountants in the middle of the year?
Yes. You can change your certified accountant at any time of year. We handle the handover with your previous accountant so there are no gaps.
Do you work with non-resident companies and individuals?
Yes. We provide tax representation for non-resident companies and individuals and support people moving to Portugal, including the NHR and IFICI regimes.
Can I register my company's head office with you?
Yes. The registered office is at our Corroios office in Seixal. Mail that arrives in your company's name is scanned and sent to you.
Is my company's data secure?
Yes. Finances.pt is certified to ISO/IEC 27001, the international standard for information security management. The certification is verified by an independent body through periodic audits.
Is the team certified?
Yes. Our team is made up of certified accountants registered with the Portuguese Order of Certified Accountants (OCC).
